Terms of Use

1. The service

CV Optimizer analyzes your resume against a job posting for free. With a credit, it rewrites your resume for that posting and writes a cover letter, which you can edit and download as Word and PDF for 30 days.

2. Your account

An account is needed to use credits. You must be at least 16 years old, provide a valid email address and keep access to your mailbox, which is used to sign in. You are responsible for what is done with your account.

3. Credits and payment

• One credit gets you one optimization: a resume rewritten for a job posting, its cover letter and their downloads.
• Credits are sold in packs, as one-time payments, with no subscription. Prices are in Canadian dollars; applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.
• Credits do not expire. They cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, except under our Refund Policy.
• A credit is used once per posting: reopening, editing or downloading an optimization again does not use another one. If the generation fails on our side, the credit is given back automatically.
• The free analysis without an account is limited to a few analyses per day.

4. Content produced by artificial intelligence

Documents are written by artificial intelligence from your resume. The service is designed not to make anything up and flags items to check, but mistakes remain possible. You must review and correct your documents before sending them: you remain solely responsible for them.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of your resume and your documents. You allow us to process them only to provide the service to you. You confirm that the information in your resume is accurate and that you have the right to send it to us.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to produce false information, send illegal content or content that is not yours, get around its limits, automate it abusively or harm how it works. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.

7. No guaranteed outcome

The service aims to improve your resume for applicant tracking systems (ATS), but we do not guarantee a score, an interview or a job. The service is provided as is; we do our best to keep it available, without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you, in particular as a consumer.

9. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from your account; your unused credits are then lost, unless you requested a refund before under our policy. We may end the service with advance notice, and would then refund your unused credits.

10. Changes and governing law

We may change these terms; the current version is always published on this page, and you will be told about any important change. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without depriving a consumer of the protection of the laws of their province of residence.
